Icreon Communications Pvt. Ltd. Was launched
in 1999 with the name - Indicom Communications Pvt. Ltd., much earlier
than Tata Sons thought of this brand name for a popular CDMA-WLL service.
We had also filed a Trademark application for the registration of
Indicom as our brand. In 2003, we sent a notice to Tata Sons when
they launched the brand – Indicom. This notice resulted in an
out-of-court settlement with Tata Sons, whereby we agreed to modify
our business name and brand to Icreon.
To all those individuals and organizations that know us as Indicom,
we would like to emphasize that the people behind Indicom (now Icreon),
remain exactly the same. This includes the directors, management personnel
and technology personnel. Our contact information remains the same;
however, the notable changes in E-mail IDs are a replacement of ‘indicom.co.in’
with ‘icreon.com’. For example, the e-mail ID – solutions@indicom.co.in
would be
solutions@icreon.com. This change in suffix would be reflected
across all e-mail IDs, including those of the personnel.
We deeply regret the inconvenience caused to our highly valued clients
and customers. We understand that the change in names and e-mail IDs
could take some getting used to; therefore, for a defined period of
time, our stationery will contain both the Icreon and the Icreon logos.
We request you to update our modified business name, URL, and e-mail
IDs in your records.

Why Icreon?
Thinking of an alternate name proved to be quite a challenging task;
we decided that the best approach would be to think of the qualities
that our clients associate with us, and then pick up alphabets or
combinations of alphabets to represent the same with our new business
name.1.We have the acumen to cater to a diverse range of verticals,
as is evident from our strong client portfolio spread across different
Industries such as Travel, Retail, Publishing etc. Hence, I for Intelligence.
The letter I also signifies Internet Technologies – the development
focus of Icreon.
